Pension Óvári in the serene Vas Region was the perfect retreat for my recent two-night escape-a charming spot that embraces the essence of Hungary. Although the hostess spoke little English, her patience and warm demeanor shone through as we navigated communication with ease. Our spacious apartment boasted unique furniture and a private bathroom, creating an inviting space to unwind after a day of exploration. I particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which made preparing our evening meals a delightful experience, easily enhanced by the lovely barbecue facilities in the garden. While breakfast was decent, with a few items not as fresh as I've tasted elsewhere, the exceptional ambience and peaceful surroundings were undeniably captivating. For those looking to explore, the Pension offers free bicycle rentals-an ideal way to experience the light charm of Bük.
